Making a reservation at this hotel is a waste of time. Reserved a king room but only rooms available were two doubles. No luggage carts at check-in, clerk said he would get us one. He sat behind the desk and watched us lug our bags through the lobby to the elevator. Water in shower was either scalding or freezing. Large roach ran out from under the waste basket across the floor. Have stayed here in years past with much better results. Have already booked our next trip elsewhere.
Metal grid frame of bed would buckle and pop back into place with a resounding series of bangs. Your shoes also were sticky on the floor.
Continental breakfast was self-prepared waffle, cereal, lite yogurt and the usual coffee/juice. Not like we had in the past, very sparse - that is not a continental breakfast.
Had a great stay here for my boyfriend's birthday trip. Overall service was great, staff were friendly and accommodating. Continental breakfast was good, we really enjoyed the waffle maker. Noise level wasn't bad for our summer weekend stay, the pool was open while we were there.
I had the opportunity to spend one night at this hotel and I would like to express my appreciation. My husband and I had driven all night from NY and arrived in NC around 10am. Although check-in time was not until 3pm, the kind receptionist allowed us to check in early without hesitation. The first room we were assigned was great, but as the night went on, we encountered a major issue with the smoking detector, which started leaking water. We notified the front desk and a staff member promptly came to inspect the situation. We were then moved to another room. However, within 10 minutes in the second room, we experienced the same problem with the smoking alarm and water leakage. My husband informed the staff, who kindly relocated us to yet another room. Thankfully, the third room was perfect and we were able to enjoy a good night's sleep. All three rooms were stunning, clean, and more than suitable for my family. Unfortunately, due to the storm, we decided to stay indoors and did not encounter any further issues.
It is an above average hotel. I enjoy the room that suites give you. The breakfast could be upgraded a little. My biggest complaint about the room is their really needs to be outlets or USB connections available to charge your devices next …
I had booked a room to spend the night after a concert at the House of Blues right down the street. The price and location were excellent. The room was clean. That's about where the positives end. I came back to my room after the show to find the entrance way into my room and the bathroom both had water standing on the floor coming from the mini fridge. I went to the front desk to report it and the manager told me that they were defrosting all of the mini fridges, and then he gave me a towel to clean it up. I won't be going back after that.
The size and space in the room was good. I appreciated the microwave and refrigerator. The gentleman at the counter was very polite, professional, and welcoming.
When we turned on the air conditioning unit, we noticed that the vents were extremely dusty. This prompted us to turn it off, and clean it the best we could. There could have been a little more to the breakfast options. You needed ketchup packets.
